Asus/Garmin A10. First impression:- Excellent small sized Sat/Nav with a phone.

Review by Racy

Bought from Optus online $405. Phone call from Optus prior to delivering to verify delivery details(.Nice touch). Delivery from order was3 days to Adelaide. After delivery, another call from Optus to verify everything was OK. (Very nice touch). A10 out of the box, nice compact phone. On switch vibrates so you know you have turned it on. Simple Icon Menu, Call, Where to, View Map. with a simple side bar extension menu which opens with a swipe. Sat/Nav, very speedy satellite acquisition within a minute or two of phone start up.(Entering address just a bit fiddly for big fingers.) Turn by turn instructions with spoken St. names, loud & clear, Female voice with Aussie accent quite sexy. Blue tooth connection to my Motorola hands free, no fuss. MP3's play without need for earphone, just like a small transistor radio. Also play through the Blue tooth/FM hands free transmitter to car Radio. Connected to my wireless home network after entering WEP key, no problem. Browser was fast & easy. Camera access through widget or gallery menu In summary this is a very nice, solid feeling compact Sat /Nave device which doubles up as a mobile phone with easy setup. Blue tooth & Wifi . Pros:- Compact size, bright clear screen, performs very well,Excellent sat/nav. 3.5 jack for phones or amp, plays MP3's through its own speaker, My only real Con is that its lovely glossy black exterior soon gets covered in finger prints, I would have liked some kind of case included in the price. Cheers Racy.
